A fire broke out at a home on Oakmoor Drive and neighbors are now collecting gift cards for the family to help them on their journey back into a home again. Target or Walmart girt cards are suggested and can be dropped off/sent to 625 Edgemoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209.

Want a fun night out on Wednesday, March 8th? Join the Homewood Chamber of Commerce for the 16th Annual Taste of Homewood, presented by the Homewood Star. Sample food and beverage from 30 of Homewood's restaurants and eateries, enjoy live music, all while raising funds for the Chamber's scholarships for local students and economic development efforts in the community.
Tickets are $30 in advance, and $40 the day of the event. It is a free festival that aims at simply giving everyone a reason to get outside, meet a few neighbors, enjoy some live music and relax in the park. Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 13th starting at 4pm.
There was a meeting on Sept 27 at Homewood High School where renderings for a possible new high school were unveiled. The new high school would be integrated with parts of the park currently. Renderings below:
